The More I Seek, The More I Find

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:7-8; 12 NIV

This Scripture is one of my favorite verses where Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray by teaching them the Lord’s Prayer (vss. 2- 6) followed by instructing them to do to others as they want to be treated. Jesus’ instructions on how to pray seems simple enough, right?  Prayer is communicating your hearts’ desires and concerns to God, trusting He hears them and answers them. God hears every prayer we lift to Him; our prayers are like incense to Him (Rev 5:8).  We know our prayers are kept in golden bowls in the Throne Room of Heaven. Psalm 56:8 (NLT) teaches us that God collects every tear that falls from our face.  How amazing and gracious that our prayers and tears are heard and kept by God! Our God loves to make Himself known to us. He takes great delight when we spend time with Him.

I wanted to know Jesus more deeply and intimately through spending time with Him, seeking Him in prayer, and lifting these verses up to Him in prayer.  I was touched by how He revealed himself to me. God is loving and ever so faithful. He desires to makes Himself known to us. When we carve out time to spend with Him and seek Him in prayer, we begin to develop a personal relationship with Him. Through this one-on-one relationship, watching how He moves and answers our prayers we draw closer to Him and want to know Him even more.  Do you have a close and personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

Would you like to see Him move and answer prayers in your life?

Prayerfully yours,

Jennifer
