About The Founder
Jennifer Kerr Bevan's Bio
At the ripe age of nine, Jennifer Kerr Bevan remembers her father asking her, “What do you want to do when you grow up?” She responded that she wanted to help people. Her father then asked her how she would help people. She answered that she did not know exactly how but knew that was what she would be doing one day.
Jennifer graduated from Radford University with a B.S. in Social Work. She practiced social work both in northern Virginia and North Carolina primarily serving senior adults. At the age of 34, and after walking through the hardships and struggles of a divorce, she sensed God calling her to serve Him. Although she could not imagine what that would look like, she answered the call to serve Him and agreed to follow His Ways. In July 2008, she accepted the call to attend Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) and received her Masters of Divinity in the Spring 2012. While serving as Women’s Ministry Pastor/Director at Christ Church of Highland Park in Highland Park, Illinois God began calling her to one day establish a women’s ministry.
A love and passion for the Word of God and a desire for all women to have fellowship with the living God was embedded in Jennifer’s heart while she was a student at TEDS. During her time at TEDS, Jennifer met and developed relationships with godly women who served in ministry and a few who served local churches as Women's Ministry Directors. While living in Illinois, she felt the nudge to visit a variety of churches and was surprised to learn that many churches did not have a women’s ministry. It was at that time that Jennifer fervently prayed for God’s counsel, wisdom, guidance and direction regarding how God desired her to serve Him.
Jennifer founded Women Living Well Ministries in August 2012 with the purpose of encouraging, developing, and supporting women to grow in faith as disciples of Jesus Christ. She, too, has a passion to serve alongside the church of Christ as a partner in providing support by either being a consultant, a teacher and/or a resource, along with hosting retreats or conferences that focus on studying the Word of God and how to have a deeper fellowship with the living God.
A burden Jennifer also has for the church is bridging partnerships between men and women to serve alongside one another in building God’s kingdom while waiting for Christ’s return. She believes men and women are to be unified partners in Christ in order to build the kingdom of God.
Jennifer lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, happily remarried to her best friend, Charles. She enjoys visiting and spending time with her husband, family and friends, studying and teaching the Word of God, drinking a Cafe Latte, loves retreating to the North Carolina mountains, and relaxing by the beach.
